Just caught up with zoom - Module 2

Thank you so much for recording the zoom sessions and uploading. I cannot explain how much of a comfort it was to watch the video and see the familiar faces and hear you all talk through the module.

Even though it was a recorded session, I felt myself nodding along and vocally agreeing with people, it was lovely to still feel a part of the group.

First bit of good news... I believe my understanding of the module 2 handbook is pretty much what is being asked of us, that was a great start. The task took me a long time to understand in module one.

After listening to the information about the module and hearing people's discussions about their possible inquiry journey, I just can't help but go off into this galactic looking, universal headspace that see's the crossover in everyone's work and why it's all so relevant.

The discussions we have always leave me feeling really energised and ready to fix the world. I'm not sure if anyone can relate to that but it's how you all make me feel, thank you.

I found a lot of similarities with Lorraine's thought process and the mental health area with students.

My teaching practice at the moment is mainly with young adults rather than children.

I'm interested in how we can facilitate the same cathartic feeling that songwriter's express when they've written an album through an improvisational based choreographic workshop. I feel as dancers (and through development, teachers) have an acute awareness of our bodies and movement and how this possibly with the additional use of a given affirmation could be used as a form of release.

This leads me to all kinds of areas....

Dance, Science, Mental Health, Spirituality, Somatic, Choreography, Improvisation, Aesthetics, Affirmations, Embodiment to name just a few.

Whilst I'm conscious that this original thought is going to naturally morph into something possibly quite different throughout the process of module 2, I know this is my starting point.

As Helen mentioned my backpack is sitting and waiting to be packed for the research journey, what's going on the packing list is yet to be decided.
